What data is processed?

When you visit this website, data is generated for technical reasons (for example IP address, date and time, pages visited, browser information), as required for the operation and security of a web server. These server logs are deleted after 14 days.

When you create an account, your email address, your password (only as a secure hash) and your chosen language are stored to enable login and account and subscription management. We also store which type approvals and electronic data sheets you have opened with the free look-ups, the subscription status we receive from Stripe (plan, term, cancellation) and, for each login, the browser type (user agent) to manage sessions. A session expires after 30 days at the latest.

Without any personal reference we count how often pages are viewed and searches are run: only numbers per day, without IP address and without search terms.

Messages sent via the contact form are delivered by email and used only to reply.

Hosting and email

The website and its database run on a server operated by Infomaniak Network SA in Switzerland. Emails (confirmation codes, password reset links, contact requests) are sent via our email provider in Switzerland.

Backups of the database are made daily, kept on the server for 7 days and also stored on the operator’s own backup server in Switzerland. They are used only to restore the service after a failure.

Cookies

This website only uses technically necessary cookies: for login, to remember the language you selected and, during registration, to remember a started search and the chosen plan for at most one hour. No tracking or marketing cookies are used, which is why there is no cookie banner.

No tracking, no advertising

No tracking or advertising technologies (for example Google Analytics, Google Ads, remarketing pixels) are used. Fonts and all other files are loaded from our own server.

Payment processing (Stripe)

For paid services we use the payment provider Stripe. The data required for payment (for example email address and payment details) is transmitted directly to Stripe. We have no access to complete payment data such as credit card numbers and do not store it. Stripe processes data for payment processing and fraud prevention, including in the USA. Retention period

Account data is stored for as long as an account exists or as required to fulfil the contract. Statutory retention obligations remain reserved. You can delete your account yourself at any time.

Disclosure to third parties

Data is only disclosed where necessary for operation (hosting, sending emails, payment processing) or where there is a legal obligation. No data is disclosed for advertising or tracking purposes.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction or deletion of your data and object to its processing, unless legal obligations prevent this. Requests to info@typenscheine.com.
